Stowe
has 103 miles of road to bike on. Out of the
103 miles 29 miles are black top and 74 miles
are unpaved for a pleasurable mountain bike
ride. Below are a variety of local shops that
you can rent a bike from. Also if you do not
want to venture out on your own some of these
local shops have guided tours of Vermont.
They will discuss your preferences to best
suit your needs. If you are a beginner or
an expert they will do their best to put you
on the right path!
In
Stowe there also is an award winning recreation
path that is 5.5 miles long taking you through
the beautiful scenery that Vermont has to

Stowe's
nationally recognized 5.5 mile walking,
hiking, biking, rollerblading, jogging,
cross-country skiing recreation path starts
in the village behind the Stowe Community
Church on Main Street with optional spots
to start your activity of choice from the
Mountain Road.
Somewhat level paved path which winds through
the woods, passes Stowe Village shops and
amazing country side views.

Green
Mountain Bike Tours invites you to come take
in the wonder and beauty of Vermont from the
saddle of your bike. Nestled in the Green
Mountains between the Sterling and Worcester
ranges G.M.B.T. will guide you on some of
the hundreds of miles of dirt roads and trails
in the area. In addition to guide service
we will provide instruction on improving bike
handeling skills and offer techniques to improve
our customers overall riding. From advanced
singletrack to low impact dirt road cruising
GMBT has something for everyone. Green Mountain
Bike Tours is owned and operated by Jonathan
Weiss who is a charter member of the Stowe
Mountain Bike Club and has been riding here
for years. Stowe vermont is located in north
central Vermont and is the host to many summertime
activities and festivals Stowe VT is fun for
the whole family.

Families can rent tandems, trail-a-bikes
and carts. Mountain Bikers have a choice
of front or full suspension bikes. Rent
for the hour, half-day or multi-day. Our
staff is always able to give you the latest
info on trail conditions, popular routes
and local sites not to be missed. We have
bikes available for large groups and get-togethers.

Mountain
Bike Tours
Our popular mountain bike tours leave
the shop daily at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.
Led by experienced mountain bike guides,
who are familiar with the Stowe area terrain,
these tours are specifically geared to
participants' abilities. Tour guides will
show you the best trails in Stowe and
help you refine your skills. You might
even stop by a local swimming hole for
a quick dip! Junior Mountain Bike tours
are offered every Wednesday and Friday
from 12 to 4 pm. Energy snack and water
provided on all tours. Individual, expert
or women's bike tours are available upon
request. Please contact us 24 hours in
advance for reservations.
